Kim Kardashian is a proud momma… Of a proud daughter!
On Thursday’s episode of The Kardashians, the beauty mogul excitedly tells her big sis Kourtney Kardashian about a new development in daughter North West’s parental preferences. She explains:
“The craziest thing happened … North is obsessed with me now and calls me with her friends like, ‘Mom I love you, you’re the best mom. I love you so much.’”
Wait, that’s actually so sweet! And quite the change of pace! Kim has been open in the past about how the 11-year-old used to prefer her dad Kanye West amid their divorce. In a 2023 episode of the reality show, the 44-year-old, who also shares Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5, with the embattled rapper, told cameras about how North much preferred Ye’s style of living:
“She’ll be like, ‘Dad is the best. He has it all figured out. He doesn’t have a nanny, he doesn’t have a chef, he doesn’t have security. He lives in an apartment.’ And she’ll start crying, ‘Why don’t you have an apartment? I can’t believe we don’t have an apartment.’”
But some time has passed now and we guess North came around to her momma! She is getting older… We hope she hasn’t, but maybe she’s seen some of her dad’s recent controversial behavior online? Or maybe she really just realized what a great mom she has!

During their chat, Kourtney asks if Kim thinks she’s personally done anything to change and the SKIMS founder responds:
“I mean possibly. It was a year of like mad at me.”
Referring to how tough a split can be on kids, Kourt adds:
“Well also you guys were getting a divorce.”
Kim responds:
“I think it was all the divorce. It’s insane the turnaround.”
We’re so glad the two have developed a better relationship!
