Wow, we almost forgot about this scandalous momma!
In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, Octomom AKA Natalie (formerly Nadya) Suleman revisited her years as one of the most hated American personalities after she got pregnant with eight kids following a round of IVF. The scandalous part about Suleman’s 2009 pregnancy was that she already had six kids and was an unemployed single mom at the time.

Now Natalie is coming forward to describe how her “young and dumb” ways caused her to allow doctors to implant twelve embryos despite her better judgment. The momma also relived the dark days of when she pimped herself out for money in an effort to feed her children.
In an attempt to explain how Octomom came to be in the first place, Suleman revealed:

“The reason he [the doctor] transplanted six is because in my reproductive history I always had six implanted and only one took. So I went in and he transferred six embryos but the doctor said my uterus had contracted heavily and there was a 99 percent chance that all the embryos were expelled. The doctor wrote up a document and said sign this and I’ll transfer the other six embryos that were left. I’m on the table under the influence of the cocktail of medication that they give you to make the transfer, so not in my lucid state of mind. I signed the paper which I didn’t read like an idiot, and it said if more than one or two take I go to a perinatologist and do selective reduction. I didn’t read that and there was no way I would do it as I don’t believe in abortion. So later I found out it could be triplets because my HCG hormone level was so high. I was freaking out but I continued on with the pregnancy. When I was at 17 weeks they found seven embryos and I almost had a nervous breakdown. I only tried to have one more – like an idiot. I was young and dumb. I just thought I’d give them one more sibling.”

Regardless of the unexpected twist which followed, N.S. contends none of her kids are a “mistake”.
As for the actual mistakes in Suleman’s life, she regrets getting into the porn industry and using her body to pay the bills:

“Everything I ever did was for money to put food on the table. Everyone thinks I had all these donations and help but I didn’t ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ I did everything on my own and paid everything out of my own pocket so I was Octomom for four years. he last two years of it were so dark. I descended down a very dark and destructive path.”

The remorseful porn alum went on to add:

“I fully exploited and dehumanized myself with the porn and the stripping. I was so desperate we were on the verge of homelessness, so rather than put my kids in front of the camera I decided to put myself out there. The consequence of exploiting myself was deep toxic shame and self disgust. To continue I had to numb and that’s when I started with the prescription drugs. I wasn’t able to exploit myself and do what I was doing without it, which became a problem ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ it wasn’t healthy.”

According to Natalie, she developed an intense Xanax addiction which she has thankfully since quit.
Following Suleman’s issues with drug dependency, in 2013 she decided to abandon her Octomom persona in order to set a good example for her children:

“It was like I’d escaped prison. That character of Octomom was dead. We packed up all our things and I quit my manager. I’d rather be homeless with 14 kids living in my van than allow any of my girls, my daughters to go down the path I had gone down. If I had stayed in that life I might be dead right now.”

Phew, we’re glad the controversial figure has made better choices since her low-point. The 41-year-old is now working as a psychiatric nurse and counselor, which sounds like a much better fit!
So, do YOU think Natalie has really changed for the better?
