Olivia Newton-John announced Tuesday that she would be postponing her tour due to a breast cancer diagnosis.
The 68-year-old revealed back pain turned out to be breast cancer that metastasized to the sacrum. The sacrum is defined as “a triangular bone in the lower back formed from fused vertebrae and situated between the two hipbones of the pelvis.”

OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN POSTPONES JUNE CONCERT DATES
May 30, 2017 – Las Vegas, NV ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ Olivia Newton-John is reluctantly postponing her June U.S. and Canadian concert tour dates. The back pain that initially caused her to postpone the first half of her concert tour, has turned out to be breast cancer that has metastasized to the sacrum.
In addition to natural wellness therapies, Olivia will complete a short course of photon radiation therapy and is confident she will be back later in the year, better than ever, to celebrate her shows.
“I decided on my direction of therapies after consultation with my doctors and natural therapists and the medical team at my Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne, Australia,” says Olivia Newton-John.

The Grease icon was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992 and she underwent a partial mastectomy, chemotherapy, and breast reconstruction.
To deal with this bout of cancer she will undergo photon radiation therapy.
