'How Many Women Does It Take?' Rose McGowan Calls For Charges To Be Pressed Against Accused Serial Sexual Assaulter Harvey Weinstein

wouldn’t be surprised if Harvey Weinstein had upwards of 2,000 victims.
With that said — she, like many others, are wondering how many courageous women must come forward before the disgraced movie producer actually faces criminal charges.
In a new interview with Good Morning America on Tuesday, the 44-year-old actress asserts “everybody knew” in Hollywood about Weinstein’s terrible behavior.
McGowan — who says Weinstein raped her at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival — shares:

“Everybody knew. I know that. I was there. People kind of think like I don’t know these people, that I’m on the outside, like they are, looking in.”

After the incident, McGowan reached a $100,000 settlement in exchange for her silence. However, she reveals she initially tried to use the settlement money to purchase a billboard:

“It was my only way of saying, ├óΓé¼╦£I didn’t like this. I didn’t want this.’ It was my only form of voice.”

As far as the investigations in Los Angeles, New York, and the United Kingdom, Rose asks why no charges have been pressed:

“I wish there were charges because I find it very strange, like how many women does it take? We’re at over 100 on the list … We keep adding to it. I would probably estimate like there’s got to be over 1,000, 2,000, because this is a lifelong career of rape for this man.”

She adds of why Harvey’s actions went unchecked for so many years:

“For me he’s a sick person. He’s a sick mind, but what about all the others? There were so many. The machinery set up in every country he would go to. For the handlers to hand him the victims, from starting with the agents and managers. When I say it’s a complicity machine, it is.”

The Charmed alum also stopped by The View where she went into even more detail about her claim of being assaulted by Weinstein and her real thoughts about the Time’s Up movement. She also takes a moment to call out Justin Timberlake for working with Woody Allen while claiming to be an ally.
