Donald Trump‘s plan to drain the White House swamp and replace it with toxic sludge is underway!
On Tuesday, the president’s Secretary of Education pick Betsy DeVos was confirmed by the Senate — and she BARELY made the cut!
Mike Pence cast the deciding vote for her nomination in a historic tie-breaker. It was the first time in history the Vice President was called to break a tie on a cabinet nomination.
And for good reason…

The Amway heiress has been blasted by teachers’ unions and public education advocates alike for her lack of teaching experience, her dismantling of the Michigan school system with disastrous results, and her belief that public schools should have guns to fight off grizzly bear attacks.
Yup, that’s something she actually said.
Needless to say, critics had a lot to say about DeVos’ appointment — celebs like Stephen Colbert, Seth MacFarlane, Piers Morgan, and Fifth Harmony‘s Lauren Jauregui had some particularly scathing words for the new Education Secretary, Pence, and the cowardly Republican Congress!
See the strongest responses (below)!

It is absurd that DeVos was just confirmed as the Secretary of Education. Each of the Republicans who voted for her should be ashamed.
