The 2016 Met Gala details are in!
Taylor Swift was announced by the Metropolitan Museum of Art as one of the hosts alongside actor Idris Elba, Apple‘s Jonathan Ive, and the legendary Anna Wintour — because why wouldn’t she be??

The theme of the night — taking place on May 2 — is Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology. It will focus on the juxtaposition between “handmade haute couture and machine-made fashion.”
As described by Andrew Bolton, curator of the Met’s Costume Institute:
“Traditionally, the distinction between the haute couture and pr├â┬¬t-├â┬á-porter was based on the handmade and the machine-made. But recently this distinction has become increasingly blurred as both disciplines have embraced the practices and techniques of the other.”
Inneresting! We can’t wait to see what outfits celebs *cough* Kanye West *cough* come up with!
The exhibit, which is sponsored by Apple, will display more than 100 ready-to-wear pieces of couture, as well as numerous “in process” workshops, one featuring a 3-D printer for attendees to take for a spin.
Honorary chairs for the star-studded evening include Nicolas Ghesquière, Karl Lagerfeld, and Miuccia Prada.
Sounds like a night to remember!
