Teletubbies Are Coming Back To TV! But There's One BIG Change...

Teletubbies are coming back to TV! Except they're slightly modernized because it's been so damn long!
Some people are jumping for joy, while others probably running around, flipping cars.
That’s right, the Teletubbies are coming back with new episodes!
DHX Media Ltd., a Canadian company, is going to bring back the British children’s show. They acquired the property last fall and are now planning on producing 60 new episodes!
Even though they’re almost 20 years older, Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po are gonna be back and looking better than ever!
DHX Media’s president and COO Steven DeNure said:

“The characters are going to be the same; we may do a little bit more (computer-generated) enhancements to the faces, but it├óΓé¼Γäós going to be pretty subtle. It will be wide screen and HD which is something audiences expect now and we├óΓé¼Γäóll be using some production techniques that were used on big films like the Harry Potter series or the Lord of the Rings series; using blue screen technology to kind of enhance the magic world that the Teletubbies live in; all in an effort to recreate in a modern way what the Teletubbies looked like when it was shot on a real set in a farmer├óΓé¼Γäós field.
For us, it├óΓé¼Γäós really about updating the episodes and extending the series and making beautiful new episodes that take advantage of today├óΓé¼Γäós technology. There is an ineffable quality about the Teletubbies that├óΓé¼Γäós just a little hard to put your finger on.”

That’s so great! Sounds like it’s gonna be back with a vengeance! The show should be ready to air around the end of 2015.
As far as any difference between the new and old episodes?
The old Teletubbies used to have TVs on their bellies, but now, not so much.
DeNure continued:

“For a kid watching that now, it├óΓé¼Γäós no longer a television, it├óΓé¼Γäós a screen you can hold in your hand. We think there are some really interesting creative opportunities on that front as we develop new Teletubbies.”

Whoa… Teletubbies with iPads on their tummies??
We don’t know how fans will feel about that!
So, do U like the modern spin? Or are they ruining a classic?
