If Starbursts is looking for an someone to cast in their commercials they should totes hit up Tom Ford because his latest comment is a juicy contradiction!
While chatting with Tom Brady for VMan, the designer admitted he finds certain traits of the fashion world “strange” because of the industry’s boastful emphasis on “materialism.”
Mr. Ford said:

“On the one hand, I want to go off and live in the desert with my dog and sculpt things out of adobe. But then on the other, I’m part of this industry that creates insecurity and focuses on materialism and things that aren’t actually, for me, the most important things in life.”

The designer was specifically speaking about the annual Met Gala, where he has a hard time seeing people “wearing a million dollars-worth of jewellery, and dressed in $30,000 dresses that are only good this season – because next season it’s all going to look out of date.”
He adds it’s “funny because it’s this industry, of course, that makes people feel like they have to change.”
Welp, we are slaves to fashion, but there’s also nothing wrong with living the simple life.
As long as Tom keeps on designing his beautiful creations, then all is good in our hood!
