Three Top USA Gymnastics Board Members Resign Amid Larry Nassar's Sexual Abuse Scandal

See ya never.
Three execs of the USA Gymnastics Board of Directors have resigned amid Larry Nassar‘s ongoing sexual abuse scandal. As you know, the longtime USA Gymnastics team doctor is facing sentencing this week after pleading guilty to molesting his patients under the guise of medical treatment. What a fucking monster.

Thing is — like survivors Aly Raisman and Emma Ann Miller so bravely pointed out — institutions like USAG, MSU, and the United Stated Olympic Committee should also be held responsible for allowing Nassar to abuse these young women, unchecked, for so many years. There are cases dating back all the way to 1997 proving the organizations and individuals were aware of assault allegations. Nassar has “treated” HUNDREDS of more female athletes since then. SHAME.
According to a statement posted by USA Gymnastics CEO Kerry Perry on Monday, Chairman Paul Parilla, vice-chairman Jay Binder, and treasurer Bitsy Kelley all tendered their resignations over the weekend.
Perry’s announcement reads:

“We support their decisions to resign at this time. We believe this step will allow us to more effectively move forward in implementing change within our organization.”

Let’s hope that extremely necessary change happens.
