Vanessa Bryant Opens Up About Her Intense Anger Over The Loss Of Both Kobe & Gianna

Vanessa Bryant Kobe Gianna Angry Instagram Post

Vanessa Bryant is going through such an unimaginably difficult time.

As you know, just days ago the world as she knew it came to an end when her husband, NBA star Kobe Bryant, and their 13-year-old daughter Gianna were both taken from her after a still unexplained helicopter crash.

We’ve heard some insider insight into how the 37-year-old is handling the loss, with a source previously telling People:

“She can hardly keep it together. She can’t finish a sentence without crying. But she is working very hard to pull it together for the other girls. She now has to be the strong one.”

However, as Vanessa stated through a rep at the end of last month the public shouldn’t necessarily trust “some media’s broad use of unnamed sources and blind quotes” (though that statement seemed in response to a story about “the family’s previous air travel decisions”).

Now Vanessa is ready to open up about her feelings directly on social media, and they are considerably more pissed than anything we’ve heard from any family friend.

She is clearly in the anger stage of grieving, as she wrote on Instagram Monday morning her brain “refuses to accept that both Kobe and Gigi are gone”:

Why should I be able to wake up another day when my baby girl isn’t being able to have that opportunity?! I’m so mad.”

She did acknowledge she needs “to be strong and be here for my 3 daughters,” Natalia, Bianka, and Capri. But she wanted to be honest about her feelings for all the others out there going through something similar.

It’s a powerful, difficult read, but this is what Vanessa herself is willing to share right now.

She writes:

I’ve been reluctant to put my feelings into words. My brain refuses to accept that both Kobe and Gigi are gone. I can’t process both at the same time. It’s like I’m trying to process Kobe being gone but my body refuses to accept my Gigi will never come back to me. It feels wrong. Why should I be able to wake up another day when my baby girl isn’t being able to have that opportunity?! I’m so mad. She had so much life to live. Then I realize I need to be strong and be here for my 3 daughters. Mad I’m not with Kobe and Gigi but thankful I’m here with Natalia, Bianka and Capri. I know what I’m feeling is normal. It’s part of the grieving process. I just wanted to share in case there’s anyone out there that’s experienced a loss like this. God I wish they were here and this nightmare would be over. Praying for all of the victims of this horrible tragedy. Please continue to pray for all.””
