Vanity Fair Cancels Their Oscar Party!

The Academy Awards will go on – whether there is a resolution to the actors strike or not, with actors or not – but even if the show proceeds and there is no picketing, Vanity Fair has still decided to cancel their annual Oscar party (the biggest in town) to stand in solidarity with the striking writers, the magazine announced on Tuesday.

After much consideration, and in support of the writers and everyone else affected by this strike, we have decided that this is not the appropriate year to hold our annual Oscar party. We want to congratulate all of this year’s nominees and we look forward to hosting our 15th Oscar party next year.
