Today is Kelly Clarkson's 33rd birthday!
Kell rose to fame as the first winner of American Idol, where she covered hits by Aretha Franklin and Celine Dion. Since then, she's released seven studio albums and became a mom for the first time last year.
While we love her original hits, Kelly's also known for doing amazing covers, which propelled her to fame in the first place. In honor of her birthday, ch-ch-check out five incredible Kelly Clarkson covers below!
We never thought we'd see the day!
Country crooner, Reba McEntire appeared on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live Thursday night and while playing, "Plead the Fifth," was asked if she has ever smoked pot before. Shockingly, she said yes!
HIGHlarious! Sounds like a fun mother-in-law, Kelly Clarkson!
However, she was adamant that she did not consider herself a pot head by any means.
The Grand Ole Opry performer stated:
This duet is simply breathtaking!!
Josh Groban's upcoming album Stages is a collection of the greatest musical theater songs of all time, and it's set to be released later this month!!
The first song off of Stages is the Phantom Of The Opera classic All I Ask Of You – a duet the singer performs with Kelly Clarkson!
Other tracks on the album include Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz, Pure Imagination from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Bring Him Home from Les Miserables, What I Did For Love from A Chorus Line, and several other smash hits from Broadway's finest!
Take a listen to Groban and Clarkson dueting to All I Ask Of You (below) and listen to the full album when it's released April 28!
We just died of cute!
Kelly Clarkson and her bundle of joy River Rose cover the May issue of Redbook in what is one of the most precious pictures we've ever seen!
Also, Kelly looks really sexy in a white-and-red embroidered maxi dress styled with a denim jacket! Country chic!
The 33-year-old doesn't shy away from getting candid about her personal life, and she has some interesting views on marriage and relationships.
For example, unlike a lot of couples, she doesn't necessarily consider her husband Brandon Blackstock to be her "other half":
"Brandon is not my other half. He's a whole and I'm a whole. I've never believed in someone taking care of me, and that's probably because I grew up poor and without a lot of family stability."
That makes sense!
The original American Idol winner even opens up about her sex life!
We're glad he came around!
It didn't take long for him to make a statement, apologizing for what he said:
"I sincerely apologize to Kelly Clarkson for my offensive comment. I admire her remarkable talent and that should have been the focus of any discussion about her."
We're still waiting on an apology from Gallagher though. He started the whole thing by harshly asking
She's no stranger to this kind of talk.
But these latest comments definitely crossed a line!!!
Kelly Clarkson was the topic of conversation on a Fox News radio show that happened this past Friday between Fox affiliate Chris Wallace and Mike Gallagher on The Mike Gallagher Show.
Gallagher was the one who started it, but Chris Wallace definitely was the one who finished it!
Here's the out of nowhere comment that Gallagher said
This lady is just SO inspirational!
It's no surprise Kelly Clarkson has been hit with weight criticism as of late — the songstress admitted she's dealt with scrutiny of her size ever since her first appearance on American Idol way back when!
Isn't that insane?!
The Heartbeat Song performer has addressed this subject before, but she did it again on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show this week.
Kelly's advice/response is simply AH-Mazing — there are no other words to describe it.
Watch what River's mommy had to say about the weight haters (above)!
