Looks like he didn't need his brothers after all!
The numbers are officially in for Billboard's Hot 100 for the week ending February 20, and Pillowtalk is sitting nicely at No. 1!
For those of you keeping track, the lead single off Mind of Mine's debut at the top of the chart marks the first No. 1 song for any of the boys from One Direction.
In fact, the closest 1D has ever come was Best Song Ever's peak at No. 2 back in 2013 — clearly showing it was, contrary to popular belief, not the best song ever.
Ch-ch-check out everyone Zayn managed to beat with Pillowtalk (below)!!!
Does this put the nail in the One Direction coffin? Sigh.
Niall Horan is reportedly using his hiatus from the group to set up a firm called Modest Golf Management — a branch of 1D's management company, Modest.
The 22-year-old is a known sports enthusiast and even caddied for pro golfer Rory McIlroy last year. The new agency will serve as a company to recruit and nurture British and Irish talent.
The Mullingar native also reportedly has the former account manager at equipment brand TaylorMade Mark McDonnel involved in the project. Seems pretty legit…
The promising thing here is that Niall is still working with the band's management, not separately.
We guess only time will tell.
We're so conflicted about this!
But if that wasn't enough to convince you that the frontman was going solo, we've got some more bad news to report.
Apparently, a few days before his management switch, Harry also got rid of his old publicity team and is now signed to the agency Dawbell, who cover all the press for acts ranging from Paul McCartney to 5 Seconds of Summer.
If you pair these out-of-the-blue staffing changes with the facts that the Perfect singer also wrote four new songs on his own with Gary Go and Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid, as well as his recording session history with Kodaline, we could be seeing a solo album anytime after One Direction's hiatus goes into official effect this March.
Do U foresee Harry abandoning Louis, Liam, and Niall anytime soon??

One Direction may have been trying to ease us into the pain that is a world without our boys singing together as a group, but it's time for us to face the music.
The 22-year-old frontman is now a solo artist signed to CAA as of Monday, and his former team even confirmed his departure in a statement, saying:
However, it seems there was something shady about the soulful singer's celebratory tweet. In his post, the floppy-haired artist decided to quote a song by his former flame.
The brunette babe posted a lyric to his ex-lady love's 2012 hit, 22, writing:
