Oops!… Britney’s parents did it again.
Jamie and Lynne Spears are making more headlines after refusing to be bullied by Britney’s old manager, Sam Lufti, who filed a lawsuit against the entire family for assault and defamation.
But THIS family tree won’t be uprooted.
A close source reveals:
Superior Court Judge Reva Goetz has officially named the future Mr. Spears Jason Trawick as Britney Spears' co-conservator.
He can now assist her daddums Jamie Spears with managing some of BritBrit’s more important life-decisions.
This, however, DOES NOT include her financial assets.
We REALLY hope this works out for the best and doesn’t come back to bite Brit in her beautiful bottom!!
But we don't think it will. Jason seems pretty stand up to us!

This was an absolutely brilliant move on his part - and probably one of the only reasons this casting dream is actually coming true!
As we've reported, Britney Spears is almost 100% set to sign on as a judge on the second season of The X Factor, and apparently, that's because during the contract negotiations, Simon Cowell made the very smart suggestion that her fiance, Jason Trawick, become one of the pop star's co-conservators, as he is much better suited to be on set with her during production than her father, Jamie!
An insider explains:
It's happening! Just not right away!
Although Britney Spears' fiance, Jason Trawick, is in the midst of being appointed as one of the pop star's co-conservator for her estate, it looks like the two are going to get all of the legal mumbo-jumbo out of the way before planning the nuptials, so that means the big day won't be happening until at least later this year!
As a source explains:
Well, it's not TOTAL freedom - but this is definitely a step in the right direction!
Although Britney Spears is still under the conservatorship of her father, Jamie Spears, the pop singer's fiance, Jason Trawick, is reportedly also set to become a co-conservator!
We just couldn't be more delighted for Britney Spears!
The pop princess formally got engaged last night to her boyfriend, Jason Trawick, and apparently, the pair aren't the only ones celebrating! Sources close to her family have revealed that they're all ecstatic with the news!
The insider explains:
“Brit’s folks are simply over the moon that Jason will become a member of the family. Her parents love and trust Jason with their daughter. For a long time it was uncertain if Britney would ever be able to find true happiness and love because of her various mental health issues, but Jason is so patient, loving and understanding, and fully supportive of Britney. Jason is very close to Britney's mom, Lynne. Jason proposed to Britney Thursday night in Los Angeles. He would have never proposed to her in Las Vegas because she got married there. Jason and Britney will be celebrating their engagement in Vegas with friends tonight though. It will be an engagement/birthday celebration for Jason. Britney has never been happier or healthier, and that is all her father Jamie has wanted since taking conservatorship of his daughter. Once the lawsuits are dealt with and handled, lawyers for Jamie will go to court and ask the judge to end the conservatorship. Judge Reva Goetz is the only person that can end it. If that happens, the wedding will take place almost immediately.”
Aww! Wonderful wonderful!
We have a feeling that the third time will DEFINITELY be a charm, gurl!
And congratulations! You deserve all the happiness in the world!

We couldn't be more thrilled for Britney Spears!
The pop star received the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award at the Video Music Awards Sunday night, and was overheard backstage attributing much of her success and current happiness - after her public meltdown and subsequent conservatorship in 2007 - to her father, Jamie!
