Treating a broken heart with food is definitely not the healthiest medication, but we've all been there at some point in our lives.
In the August issue of Nylon, Olivia Wilde admits she found comfort in food after she divorced her husband of 7 years, Italian Prince Tao Ruspoli, saying:
"I got a divorce and self-medicated with food, but I figure that's better than self-medicating with crack cocaine."
LOL! We'd have to agree with that statement!
The gorgeous Cowboys & Aliens actress told another magazine that despite the heartbreaking divorce, she and her ex remain on good terms, explaining:
"We're friends; his family is my family. You always have a choice to feel angry and not be friends. But I can't handle the idea of walking into a room and seeing someone I have bad blood with. I can't keep any negative relationship with anyone."
Such a positive outlook! We hope Olivia finds love again someday, but for now it sounds like she just wants to focus on herself, saying:
"The trauma of the whole thing has been humbling, and for the first time, I'm a little bit wobbly. I'm a case of arrested development, in a way — from spending your 20s with someone who really loves to take care of you, as my husband did. But I think it's very healthy to spend time alone. You need to know how to be alone and not be defined by another person."
However healthy her alone time will be, she's also got a list of healthy hotties lining up to help her rebound! The 27-year-old has been linked to Bradley Cooper, Ryan Gosling and Justin Timberlake in the past few months.
Whenever and whoever she decides to start dating again, we just hope she still gets treated like a princess!
