Girl meets feminism!

While Girl Meets World has served as an adorable followup to its classic '90s source material, one of our biggest issues with the show has been that it doesn't tackle as many serious storylines as Boy Meets World did back in the day.

Well, it seems like Disney Channel heard our complaints, because Friday's episode is all about equality!

In a teaser for Friday's brand new episode, Maya and Riley team up with Lucas and Farkle for a science project, only to be relegated to the assistant position.

The girls can't quite figure out why they feel weird about the situation, and we cannot wait to see how Disney handles gender roles as the episode progresses!

We just hope Farkle and Lucas haven't been secret men's rights activists all along. LOLz!

What wonderful news!

Girl Meets World is really finding its footing during its second season on Disney Channel and we're happy to announce that the gang will be back for more next year.

The house of mouse revealed on Wednesday that the children's sitcom had been renewed for a third season, which will follow Sabrina Carpenter, Peyton Meyer, Corey Fogelmanis, and Rowan Blanchard as they make their way to high school!

The Boy Meets World spin-off also stars Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel as Cory and Topanga, as well as August Maturo as their son Auggie, so we'll surely be getting more hijinx from home.

Believe it or not, the show is currently wrapped up in a love triangle, so maybe Riley and Maya will be arch rivals when the new year starts?!

Make sure to catch Season Three of Girl Meets World when it premieres in Spring 2016 on Disney Channel!

Sabrina Carpenter May Have Met The World… But She Apparently Didn't Meet A Stylist For The AMAs Red Carpet

Too many ruffles!

Sabrina Carpenter may be Disney's current breakout star, but her outfit on the American Music Awards on Sunday leaves a lot to be desired.

That's because the 16-year-old took a risk with a black and white mini-dress, but the shoulders just ruin what would have otherwise been a cute look.

The ruffles somehow make her seem younger than she already is, and her porcelain skin just makes her look like a doll.

It doesn't help that the strappy, pink heels and metallic clutch don't match.

We still love you, though, Sab!

We all know that Corey and Topanga's relationship could never be beat on Boy Meets World (we never want to relive their emotionally scarring breakup again!), but a close second was the saga of Shawn Hunter and Angela Moore.

And unlike Coranga, their relationship came to a tragic end in the show's final season.

Now, it's time for Shawngela shippers to rejoice! Trina McGee-Davis is making her debut on Girl Meets World this week, marking the long-awaited reunion of Shawn and Angela!

We last saw the two characters together 15 years ago, when Angela moved away to Europe with her father leaving Shawn (Rider Strong) behind.

Angela's return comes with a big choice for Shawn, who just started a relationship with Maya's (Sabrina Carpenter) mom!

Series creator Michael Jacobs said that there was a "big surprise to come" in the episode appropriately titled "Girl Meets Hurricane." He explained:

"I think what the audience wants and expects will not be what the audience is going to receive. The reason is that we decided we wanted to write what was real. Instead of doing a television ending, we looked very closely at where the characters were when we left the series and what really would've happened to them. And that's what's going to happen. The relationship is lovely and the episode ends that they're in a good position, but I think there's a big surprise to come."

Wow! We think it's safe to say this will be one intense episode!

Find out what happens on Girl Meets World airing Friday at 8:30 p.m. on The Disney Channel!
