Shakira's sporting a new 'do!

Late Tuesday night the seksi Colombian chopped off a good 6 inches of hair and couldn't wait to show it off on Twitter.

Not that we would expect otherwise, but still!

Check out Shakira's both absolutely FIERCE and BEAUTIFUL performances of her hits, Antes de la seis and Loca, during last night's 2011 Latin Grammy Awards, at which she won for "Best Feminine Pop Vocal Album," as well as honored for her philanthropic contributions to global education reform (above)!

She said during her acceptance speech:

"One of my favorite passages in the bible is Corinthians 3: 13. Without love nothing is good for me and without love I am nothing. To my loved ones… my family and my brother Tony thank you for your friendship.”

Congratulations, gurl! You should be very proud of all of your accomplishments!

And keep on shaking it!

A super big CONGRATS goes out to Shakira!!!

The she-wolf accepted her star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame Tuesday. Plated with a record, the star honors her for her talent and achievements in the music industry.

Shakira is the first Colombian to receive a star on the famous Walk, and the day was made even sweeter with her parents in attendance to cheer her on. Aww.

It's always so wonderful when we see someone get a star who truly deserves it for their contributions to the world of entertainment!

Obama knows how to pick'em!

Shakira and Obama just announced that she will be a member of the President's Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanics!

A well deserved honor!

Earlier this month, The Latin Grammy nominees were announced, and we were pleased to hear that Shakira was nominated for album of the year!

Now, she's getting even MORE Latin Grammy love, and she's being named the 2011 Latin Recording Academy person of the year!

Puerto Rican hip-hop duo Calle 13 landed the most nominations with a record 10 noms for their 2010 album Entren Los Que Quieran.

They've been nominated in all major categories, including Album and Record of the Year for their single Latinoamerica.

Other Album of the Year noms include Enrique Iglesias, Shakira, Franco De Vita, and Alex, Jorge y Lea.

The 12th annual Latin Grammy awards will be air live from Vegas this November 10 on Univision.

Nah! Just another one of those fun loving rumors peeps like to get started!

The latest gossip to come out of Idol territory is that Jennifer Lopez isn't interested in returning to the show for a second season and that producers are looking for someone equally as hot and talented to replace her. While we have no idea if that is true, we can report from a well placed source that the rumor Shakira is in the running for J.Lo's spot is definitely FALSE.

In their words, the story is "not true at all."

And now, we're mildly disappointed! Though we kind of hope Jennifer sticks with it another year, Shakira, Shakira would be a FINE substitute! We know we'd tune in every week just to hear her golden Latina voice throw some truth on some singing hopefuls. That'd be amazing!!!

But if not Shakira, then who? Who will replace Jen if she packs up and books it out of Idol land???
