A friend confirmed to People:

“She has broken up with Chris.”

Although the 57-year-old intended to return to rehab after leaving to celebrate Christmas, the actress is reportedly now “doing out-patient rehab at home” and is living with her parents: father Bill, 89, and mother Diane, 85. The insider revealed:

“She’s doing great. She has her parents staying with her, which has been great for everyone truly close to her. The fact that her parents are now staying with her is a good development and comforting… Heather needs grounding and normalcy and what better people to do that than her own parents… It’s a good thing in the end.”

Additionally, the thespian is “under a doctor’s care” and is “not around anybody who is not a good influence,” which is “good and comforting news to family and friends.”
Locklear’s reported transition to out-patient rehab “gives her a great reset button on what is most important and that is her sobriety.”
According to the friend, ex Heisser “did not help her sustain her goals of sobriety,” adding:

“She set goals of sobriety two years ago and those were not working with him in the picture.”

Right now, Locklear’s “sole focus is on herself” as “everyone is pulling for the old Heather to rebound.”
The Spin City star has struggled with substance abuse, depression, and anxiety.
In June 2018, she was hospitalized for a possible overdose, and in November 2018, was placed on a psychiatric hold.
