It’s been five years since model/actress Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook went through a very public and very nasty divorce.
But, the drama is just getting messier.
In a new interview, Peter speaks out about their battle, saying that Christie is throwing their “family under the bus” and her words have “publicly castrated” him.
He also accuses her of going on this smear campaign to muster up publicity for her new role on Chicago.
He told ABC News’ Elizabeth Vargas:
“She can use her celebrity to get the media to say ‘He’s a bad guy.’ You know ├óΓé¼┬ª I’m not trying to sell tickets to anything. I don’t want this press. I’m not interested in it. And there’s got to be a better way for her to do it. Go do a charitable act or something, get your name in the paper. But stop throwing your family under the bus.”
And instead of keeping her mouth shut and just letting things so, Christie of course released a statement after his interview aired:
“Peter Cook has repeatedly broken the confidentiality agreement that Christie has continued to uphold. Peter is the only one to go on national television spewing sexist, disgraceful, demonstrably false lies, which gives a taste of what Christie has had to endure since Peter betrayed his marriage vows. Peter embarrassed himself and hurt his family by having an affair with a teenage girl and admitting to an extensive pornography habit.”
WTF. It’s like two school children fighting with each other.
How is this still going on? And what about their children, Sailor, 13, and Jack, 16??
Get over it, people. The behavior that the both of you have displayed is absolutely disgusting.
