Nobody said saying goodbye was easy!
The woman that could now be considered Oprah Winfrey‘s ex stepmom, Barbara Winfrey, has been forced by the television icon and her ex husband to move out of her house — and it’s tearing her apart!
Barbara had to leave her house south of Nashville in Tennessee on Thursday after calling the place home for fourteen years – a large part of that time sharing it with her former husband and Oprah’s father Vernon.
But after Barbara divorced Vernon, the former high-school vice-principal believes that Oprah specifically went after her — and it was not just business!
Here’s what Barbara Winfrey recently said:
“That woman has set out to ruin me, destroy me.├óΓé¼┬¿ To take this house away is petty, this has been my home for 14 years.├óΓé¼┬¿ Oprah├óΓé¼Γäós a billionaire three times over, her help live better than this. She said publicly that she offered to sell the house and give me the proceeds, but that├óΓé¼Γäós a lie, she never said that.├óΓé¼┬¿ Oprah owns property all over the world so there is no reason to sell this house other than to spite me, it├óΓé¼Γäós a personal vendetta…What she has done is nothing short of evil, but she doesn├óΓé¼Γäót scare me, her actions cause me to disrespect her…That├óΓé¼Γäós why I feel sorry for her because I don├óΓé¼Γäót understand the evilness. I├óΓé¼Γäóm at the point in life when I should be enjoying my retirement. Instead I have to contend with this.├óΓé¼┬¿ There├óΓé¼Γäós a difference between wanting to hurt someone, but to destroy them? To take their money, to take their credit, take their property, I don├óΓé¼Γäót understand that, that├óΓé¼Γäós evilness I can├óΓé¼Γäót comprehend.”
It’s obvious that Barbara Winfrey is feeling a lot of emotions these days since she’s losing her home of fourteen years, and although we don’t deny that Oprah absolutely took her father’s side against her former stepmother – as children usually take their parents’ side – we kind of doubt that Oprah enjoys seeing the woman her father loved for a while in such a bad place.
However, Barbara does get to keep a lot of the house’s furniture and belongings – if not the house itself – and as a former high school vice principal we believe she can absolutely get back up on her feet!
Hopefully, after that happens, she can forget all about this dark chapter of her life, and focus on the remaining chapters left!!!
