Aaron Hernandez‘s lawyers have made it clear the rumors of his prison lover are nothing more than a malicious lie to “tarnish” the ex NFL star’s reputation.
But apparently there is more evidence proving that the former New England Patriots player did have a very close relationship with fellow convict Kyle Kennedy (above), who was reportedly the last person to see him alive.
According to a new DailyMail.com report, the family of the 22-year-old inmate (who is serving 3 to 5 years for armed robbery) received a $50,000 watch from Hernandez the day before he hanged himself in his cell last Wednesday.

It turns out Kennedy was also one of three recipients of Hernandez’s suicide letters — the other two were written to his fianc├â┬⌐e and 4-year-old daughter — though he still has yet to read his friend’s final words.
Hernandez’s family was granted access to all three suicide notes in a court proceeding on Monday, but Kennedy wants to see his note “as soon as possible.”
Kennedy’s lawyer Larry Army Jr. said his client is “obviously saddened by the loss of his friend,” but is “no longer on suicide watch.” He explained in a statement:
“My client is obviously saddened by the loss of his friend, Aaron Hernandez… The facts are that my client and Mr. Hernandez were not cellmates. Mr. Hernandez was housed in a single cell. Also, a letter was left to my client, but neither I, nor my client, have seen the letter. We will be requesting that the letter be turned over to my client as soon as possible. Lastly. My client is no longer on suicide watch. The decision to move him to a protective unit was a standard precaution, but my client did not and has not exhibited any dangerous or risky behavior as a result of this situation.”
Kyle’s family also issued a statement, saying:
“Our thoughts right now are with Aaron Hernandez’ family as well as our son. We understand the broad public interest in this case, but we ask for privacy as we learn the facts.”
Kennedy, who won’t be eligible for parole until February 2018, described himself as “straight” on the website Write A Prisoner, which he describes himself as:
“I stand at 5′ 10, I weigh 175 pounds, I have brown hair and brown eyes. I am also heavily tattooed. I work out, read books and write. My hobbies on the street include racing motocross, building and customizing cars and motorcycles and doing anything that includes the outdoors. I am currently working to attain my barbering license.”
Regardless of how Hernandez and Kennedy publicly labeled themselves, it seems there was a connection between the two prisoners.
