Ann Curry is back on morning TV, and we couldn’t be happier.
On Wednesday, the journalist stopped by CBS This Morning to discuss her former co-anchor Matt Lauer, the #MeToo movement, and her new PBS show We’ll Meet Again.

On Tuesday, the 61-year-old opened up to People about her infamous 2012 exit from Today, which she says, “hurt like hell.” Reportedly, she was axed due to her lack of chemistry with Lauer, who was eventually fired from NBC News in November 2017 for allegations of “inappropriate sexual behavior.”
In her first TV interview since leaving NBC in 2015, she told CBS that she was not “surprised by the allegations” against Lauer. In regards to the recent firings of Lauer and Charlie Rose, Ann noted:
“We clearly are waking up to a reality and injustice that has been occurring for sometime. I think it will continue to occur until the glass ceiling is finally broken.”
Snap! Snap! When further pressed by Gayle King to address specific accusations she may’ve heard, Curry side stepped from answering in order to avoid hurting those involved. Curry added:
“I’m trying not to hurt people. I know what it’s like to be publicly humiliated, I never did anything wrong to be publicly humiliated, and I don’t want to cause that kind of pain to someone else. But I can say, because you’re asking me a very direct question… I can say that, I’d be surprised if many women did not understand that there was a climate of verbal harassment that existed. I think it’d be surprising if someone said they didn’t see that.”

Hmmm, sounds like someone is taking shots at her former Today peers. Regardless, Ann is vehement that she’s no longer salty about her ousting from the Today show. She continued:
“I don’t know what was all behind it. I do know that it hurt like hell. It wasn’t a fun moment. I’ve learned a great deal about myself. I’ve really, at this point, let it go.”

You tell ’em, Queen. Ann further addressed sexual harassment in the workplace, which has fueled the revolutionary #MeToo and Time’s Up movements, as she revealed:
“I don’t know a single woman who has not endured some form of sexual harassment and many women have endured workplace sexual harassment. It’s happened to me in multiple jobs. It is a way of sidelining women.”

Thankfully, a change is certainly occurring in the workforce, as Ann made sure to applaud the Today show for hiring two female co-anchors. The industry vet applauded:
“The idea that women are involved speaking to women is actually an overdue idea. So absolutely, I think it’s a good idea.”
