Anna Paquin was talking with Larry King recently, promoting the sadness that is the ending of True Blood, and while being interviewed by the 80-year-old host, she has a surprising encounter with ignorance — Larry’s!
The Oscar-winner, who is openly bisexual and married to Stephen Moyer, had to inform Larry what it means to be bisexual.
Since he seems to think that a person’s sexuality is something that can be turned on and off on a whim…
So, Anna decided she wasn’t taking any of that ish and informed him what the actual definition of her sexual preference is!
Oh and she did it flawlessly ESPECIALLY when Larry got kind of rude to her.
It went down like this:
Larry: Are you a non-practicing bisexual?
Anna: Well, I mean, I am married to my husband, and we are happily monogamously married.
Larry: But you were bisexual?
Anna: Well, I don’t think it’s a past tense thing. Are you still straight if you’re with somebody? Doesn’t mean you’re not, if you were to break up with them or you were to die. It doesn’t prevent your sexuality from existing. It doesn’t really work like that.
Larry: Stop with wishful thinking.
Anna: I’m just saying, it doesn’t really work like that.
You f*ckin’ GO, Anna! Don’t take that bullshizzzzzz!!
We’re so happy she stood up to Larry’s rude belittlement of her sexuality while also giving him a lesson on what it means to be bisexual!
Even if he chooses not to listen to her!
We’re proud of you, gurl! Keep up the brilliance!
