Aretha Franklin Performs Adele Again -- And THIS Famous Face Singing Backup Just Ain't Feeling It

She’s still down with Adele!!
After releasing the audio track of her Rolling in the Deep/Ain’t No Mountain High cover this week, Miz Aretha Franklin has been making her late night TV rounds.
She stopped by David Letterman on Monday to perform the jam — but instead of listening to the song, we were totally distracted by one of her stage-mates…
Specifically, the familiar looking woman to the left!

Since we’ve got extensive diva knowledge, we had a feeling there was a famous face among the soul queen that evening — and it’s none other than Whitney Houston‘s 81-year-old momma Cissy, singing backup!
First off, we’re just so happy to see the gospel songstress is out, about and working these days. She looks just wonderful! But still, we couldn’t help but notice her disinterest in the performance, which is odd especially since she’s been singing backup for Aretha since the mid-1960s.
Maybe she’s just not a fan of Adele! But — who doesn’t love Adele?!
Ch-ch-check out the song (above) and try and guess Miz Houston’s emotions throughout! It’s pretty great!
