This is so awful: a five-month-old baby girl was brought to a Texas fire station after being abandoned with her babysitter!
That poor baby!
A woman only identified as Alysha told the firemen she and her friend agreed to watch baby Lily, but never expected what happened next.
They apparently met the mother around 3am and drove her to her motel on Monday. That’s when they found the baby had been left alone in the room.
Ughhhhh! Why would ANYONE do this??
The girls took the baby into their care, thankfully. The mother then left… and never returned.
The sitter said:
“We took the baby for the night and told her to give us a call in the morning and she didn’t. She hasn’t called, hasn’t tried to find out where her baby is.
Pretty much bringing her here was the last resort because we don’t know where she belongs. The word was that we would help the mom because she was supposedly trying to get money for the baby’s diapers.”
The firemen said the baby was in good health, which is great.
Texas has Baby Moses laws that allow a child to be left in a designated safe place, no questions asked… if the baby is under 60 days old.
Since Lily is five-months-old that doesn’t apply to her, so the cops are looking for her momma.
We hope they find her so we can get answers!
