'Bachelor In Paradise' Star Demi Burnett SLAMS Homophobic Trolls After Coming Out As Queer!

Demi Burnett comes out as a queer.

The Bachelor alum Demi Burnett is officially out and proud as a happy, queer queen!

The 24-year-old is set to star in the upcoming sixth season of Bachelor in Paradise on ABC, and recently released teasers reveal she will explore a new relationship with another woman.

Bachelor Nation knows this is a HUGE deal, as Burnett’s romance will be the first time the franchise has documented a same-sex relationship on the show — which is freaking amazing! And it’s about time, too.

But, of course, there are a few critics out there who aren’t too happy about the idea of it all!

Before we move any further, it’s worth noting Demi isn’t even the first LGBT contestant to appear on the summer spin-off.

Bachelor season 21 and BIP season four contestant Jaimi King was actually the first to come out as bisexual on the reality TV series.

But for some odd reason, Burnett is catching the most heat for sexual preferences, with some “fans” even threatening to boycott the dating competition show.

One angry Twitter user voiced their frustration by directly tweeting at the Texas native, saying:

“This is the first season I WILL NOT watch BIP due to the same sex disgusting behavior on screen. I have nothing against their choice of lifestyle but I don’t like to have it shoved down my throat on TV. you ruined your show for me and 300 others.”

The blonde-haired beauty immediately clapped back at the user, saying:

“The moment you described the relationship as disgusting is the moment you claimed yourself as homophobic”

Seriously. We’re looking at textbook homophobia right here, guys.

A different user delivered their complaints about the star’s lesbian romance via DM, writing to Demi:

“‘Queer queen’? More like f****t queen #Embarassing.. I loved watching the bachelor bachelorette and paradise but now everything has to have a dang f****t in it. Being gay is like seeing a black bird and a robin having sex. It’s sad that animals have more common sense then humans ? that show will loose a lot of its views if it turns out to be (a f****t freak show.) Girl don’t get me wrong I loved you when you were in Colton’s season but now your a f****t and I DONT support f****ts”

In response, the TV personality shared a screen-grab of the comment and simply added, “Twitter do your thing.”

When another fan suggested ABC create a separate iteration of the show for same-sex couples (AKA discrimination) in a since-deleted tweet, Colton Underwood‘s ex quipped:

“I know you’re trying to mean well, however, the goal is for the LGBTQ+ community to not be viewed as separate. Saying they need a ‘rainbow bachelor’ is a bit homophobic. We are all humans. Segregation based on sexuality needs to die. Coexist motha f**ka”

The love stories of the LGBTQ community deserve to be told just as much as any other heterosexual relationship that blossoms on the beach in Mexico this summer. So, get over it y’all!

Despite all the negativity, many of Bachelor Nation’s favorites have spoken out in defense of Burnett.

At the end of the day, love is outweighing all of the hate!

We can’t wait to see you find your happily ever after in Paradise, girl!
