Beth Chapman Not Expected To Recover From Cancer Battle As Family Gathers At Her Hospital Bedside

Beth Chapman dies

It doesn’t look good for Beth Chapman.
According to TMZ, Dog the Bounty Hunter’s family is gathering at his wife’s bedside to say their goodbyes, as insiders say she’s not expected to recover from her battle with esophageal cancer.
Family sources told the outlet that Beth’s mother has flown to Hawaii to be by the 51-year-old’s side as the Chapmans prepare for the worst. Beth’s children and grandchildren are also said to be flocking to her bedside as she reaches what might be the end of her war against stage IV throat cancer.
As we reported, the reality TV starlet was hospitalized on Saturday after experiencing difficulty breathing as well as choking. She was placed into a medically-induced coma after recently undergoing an aggressive series of chemotherapy treatments.

While the sources said there’s very little that can be done for Beth at this point, the family was still said to be discussing life support options with her doctors — including the possibility of her undergoing a tracheotomy procedure to have a feeding tube inserted into her body.
Dog (real name Duane “Dog” Chapman) has been asking fans for their thoughts and prayers in the meantime. The reality star wrote very brief messages on his Twitter and Facebook pages over the weekend, writing:

Please say your prayers for Beth right now thank you love you.”

As fans know, Beth has been fighting the aggressive disease ever since she was diagnosed with stage II throat cancer in September 2017. She even beat the disease for a while, becoming completely cancer free after having the cancer removed. Unfortunately, it returned in 2018 and forced her to go back into treatment
Beth had surgery in November to remove a mass from her throat and started chemotherapy by the next month. She was hospitalized again in April.
Dog has been trying to stay positive throughout all this. In addition to asking fans to send their healing thoughts, the bounty hunter tried to lighten the mood on social media by poking fun at Beth’s extra glam nails. He tweeted from her hospital bed on Monday:

Sources previously said that Dog and the couple’s children have been by Beth’s side “around the clock,” adding that doctors are “doing their best to keep her comfortable” while the family continues to pray for a miracle.
So heartbreaking. Our hearts are with Beth, Dog, and their family as she continues to fight for her life.
