A new baby is coming to the Australia Zoo, but this time, it’s Bindi Irwin who is pregnant!
The 22-year-old wildlife conservationist made the announcement on Tuesday, choosing to upload an adorable photo of herself and husband Chandler Powell holding up a miniature uniform for their coming addition!

Bindi, who married her 23-year-old love on March 25, revealed it’s still early in the pregnancy, but couldn’t wait to share the news with her 3.6 million Instagram followers. She wrote in the caption:
“Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021.
Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting! It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you. Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter. We couldn’t wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives. Your support means the world to us. Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes & prayers to our little sweetheart. Love & light. ❤️”
The oldest daughter of Terri Irwin and the late Steve Irwin got hitched nearly five months ago, choosing not to delay her nuptials to Chandler amid the coronavirus pandemic. While they originally had more elaborate plans, the bride and her hubby wed without any guests for everyone’s safety.
It’s amazing to see their family grow! And clearly Bindi’s loved ones are very excited for a little Irwin to join the family!
Chandler was one of many to comment on the momma-to-be’s exciting IG, praising his wife by writing:
“You’re going to be the best mother❤️”
And Bindi’s own mother couldn’t wait to publicly revel in the big baby broadcast, taking to Twitter today with a pic of her alongside her daughter and son-in-law holding the mini Australia Zoo uniform, sharing:
“This is the best day ever! I am over the moon to announce that @BindiIrwin and @chandlerpowell9 are going to have a baby! Words cannot express the love that is filling my heart.”
The 56-year-old continued by addressing her late husband’s absence, knowing he would have loved to hear the news:
“While I wish that Steve was here to share this beautiful moment, I know that he would be so proud.”
