There’s nothing wrong with a Hooters outfit. For a grown woman who CHOOSES to wear it!
Dressing a four-year-old girl in the raunchy uniform though is just doesn’t seem like something a parent should do!
But a mother named Leann did just that with her daughter, Scarlett, for a beauty pageant featured on the show Blinging Up Baby which airs on UK’s Channel 5.
Here’s what the mother said about the controversial outfit choice:
“Some people may say it’s controversial, especially the theme I’ve chosen, but at the end of the day, little girls wear swimming costumes to the beach all summer, and that’s not a controlled environment. The environment my kids go in is a controlled environment and it is ticket-entry only.”
Although the mom has never been to a Hooters bar, she knows they’re quite popular… which is one of the reasons she chose the outfit as her prototype. But of course she’ll bling it up for her little girl to make sure everyone notices her daughter.
We doubt she has to bling it up to get people to notice what she’s doing though. Having a super young daughter wear a Hooters outfit is going to garner attention no matter how shiny it is. The mum said:
“I’m working on a Hooters outfit for her so we can put together a nice little routine. I’ve not been to a Hooter bar but I know they’re popular in America. It was something I thought of as it’s an easy costume to make. It’s got to be sparkly and blinged up, you can’t just put them in a T-shirt, so I’ve got a nice little leotard and I’m in the process of putting diamantes around the strap.”
The reality show doesn’t just follow beauty pageant participants like Scarlett, but also features mothers who dress their kids up just for the “fun” of it. Like one mother named Sophia May who named her daughters Princess Bliss and Precious Belle and enjoys comparing them to Miley Cyrus.
We’ve seen so many parents put their children though this kind of shizz way too many times before to be surprised by all of this, but it’s always disturbing anytime a parent puts an innocent child through such obvious attention-grabbing stunts.
