The 38-year-old shared the big news with People:
“We are at 12 weeks now, so near the end of the first trimester. We’re madly in love and we are very excited about this!”
Jenner’s divorce was recently finalized from wife Leah Jenner, with whom he shares three-year-old daughter Eva James Jenner. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the two first filed for divorce in July 2018 (but didn’t announce the split until September), and the marriage was officially dissolved in July after almost 15 years together.
The couple and Leah shared the news with Eva, who is excited to take on her role as big sister:
“We told her together. Leah, Cayley and I sat down with her and told her what was happening, and she was very excited and happy. She’s super excited to be a big sister.”
Despite the separation, it seems there are no hard feelings between the exes:
“Leah and I split up in a really beautiful way, and I think we handled it in the best way possible. It was a process, and it took some time to finalize. And now that Leah and I have moved on, I am starting a family with Cayley, and I’m so happy about it.”
Caitlyn Jenner and Linda Thompson‘s oldest son together also shared he and Cayley plan to wait until the twins’ arrival to find out the sex:
“We have decided not to find out. We don’t want to know. We’re going to be surprised.”
As for his famous family, which includes Brody Jenner, half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, as well as half-siblings Burt and Casey Lynn, they’re also excited about the news. Jenner says:
“Our families are thrilled. It’s wonderful news.”
Speaking of the Jenner clan, the musician recently opened up about the burden of carrying such a recognizable surname, explaining:
“When people hear it for the first time, or they hear my last name, ‘Jenner,’ I think that they’re quicker to write me off and not necessarily even want to give my music a chance because of it. I sometimes am almost a little ashamed of it, because I feel like people are going to have this preconceived notion that I’m just, kind of, like a spoiled kid that doesn’t really have anything to say, right? And hasn’t struggled in their life. I’ve struggled just like a lot of other people in different ways, on an emotional level.”
