Confidence is key!
On Friday, a sneak peek for this Sunday’s episode of I Am Cait revealed that Caitlyn Jenner‘s still struggling with one aspect of her transition.
Her voice.
Though the brunette beauty often exudes confidence, the transgender star relayed to step-daughter Kim Kardashian West that she still feels insecure about talking on the phone.

She shared:
“I’d be sitting there in my little room, all by my lonesome, and I’d think, Okay! I’m going to try to get my best feminine voice and call down so they say, ‘Yes, ma’am. I could never do it.”
What a brave insecurity to share with Kim — let alone the world.
In a beautiful display of familial love, the 34-year-old encouraged Miz Jenner to practice her feminine voice on her. Despite the practice, it seems both Kim and Caitlyn agreed that voice was not quite there. Whomp, whomp.
Nonetheless, we’re so impressed with Caitlyn’s openness with her journey.
She shared:
“Women cannot relate to the whole voice thing. They don’t see it as being that important when it is that important, not only for you to speak and order and do all that kind of stuff, but very important for your soul that you’re feeling good about that.”
Well said!
However this is not the first time the reality TV star’s voiced her insecurities about her voice. In a recent blog post she explained:
“While I felt like I looked great and that the gown looked fabulous, I still have a voice issue. It’s not quite right compared to my feminine appearance. That bothers me a little bit. However, I hope that people don’t listen to the pitch of my voice, but listen to what I have to say.”
