On Wednesday, a photo of the Bodak Yellow rapper on the Billboard Music Awards red carpet went viral after some fans pointed out that she was showing off more skin than she probably intended. The picture showed Cardi with husband Offset as he held her leg high up in the air, leaving many to claim that she had exposed her “kitty cat.” Others argued that the image had to be photoshopped.
But the mother-of-one is here to tell you that neither are true. Shortly after the pic went viral, Cardi took to Instagram to explain why she did not, in fact, reveal her vagina — and, naturally, she stripped down to her birthday suit to do so.

Posing completely nude in front of a mirror, the award winning rapper explained to her followers:
“Y’all motherf**kers going around with this f**king picture photoshopping it even more like, ‘Oh Cardi p***y, Cardi p***y.’ … First of all, that ain’t my p***y. My p***y right here. This where I birthed my daughter from.”
As for the region that was exposed in the potentially explicit photo? Cardi continued:
“This right here, you know the part that shows when I go like this, that’s just my ass.”
Apparently, the trolls who made a fuss over the paparazzi pic aren’t too familiar with the female anatomy. Makes sense — seeing as these trolls also felt the need to imply that the picture was somehow the 26-year-old’s fault, too. (It’s safe to assume slut-shamers like this don’t see very much “kitty kat” IRL.)

The hot momma concluded her lesson on a hilarious note, adding:

Overall, it was a triumphant night for the performer. Before giving her NSFW anatomy lesson, Bardi took home SIX Billboard Music Awards, including the prize for Best Rap Song.
When she got on stage to collect her award, she said:
“Man, I remember when I first hit the Billboard at No. 85 with Bodak Yellow. I celebrated that the same way I celebrated all my No. 1s on the Hot 100…. Let me finish my speech, god damn it. I know y’all love me! … If you got a favorite artist, support them. Stream their music. Listen to their music. Tell a friend to tell a friend about their music to get them on the chart, an upcoming artist or artists that’s already out there. Support their music. Be the biggest fan that you can be.”
She finished with a shameless plug for her upcoming Fashion Nova line, joking:
“I want to thank Bardi Gang – what’s good? – and my Fashion Nova collection is coming real soon. I’m going to have y’all looking good! You heard!. And I got more music on the way! They do anything for clout, woo!”
