Charles Manson narrowly escaped capital punishment, but it seems he’s finally at death’s door.
According to TMZ, the infamous murderer and cult leader was quietly rushed to a hospital in Bakersfield over the weekend, escorted from Corcoran State Prison by five police officers.

The 83-year-old, pictured above in his most recent mugshot back in August, was reportedly wheeled around on a gurney, pale and covered in blankets. Sources tell the outlet:
“It’s just a matter of time.”
Manson’s ailment is unknown, but just ten months ago he was in the hospital for severe gastrointestinal problems. At the time doctors said he needed surgery to repair a lesion but didn’t get it — because he didn’t seem strong enough to survive.
