Christy Turlington Burns Needs Your Help To Raise Funds For Charity

Christy Turlington Burns is using her celebrity status to help others.
The supermodel’s organization, Every Mother Counts, is seeking donations to help to build a clinic in Indonesia for mothers in need!
As part of the Mozilla Firefox Challenge, people have until January 11th to donate, and if this charity raises the most, Mozilla Firefox will contribute an additional $25,000!
According to Christy and the EMC Team:

“While for many women pregnancy is an exciting and joyful experience, for others it can be a death sentence. Every day, 1000 women lose their lives due to complications caused by pregnancy or childbirth. But almost ALL of these deaths are preventable.
Every Mother Counts is an advocacy and mobilization campaign to increase education and support for maternal mortality reduction globally. EMC seeks to engage new audiences to better understand the challenges and the solutions while encouraging them to take action to improve the lives of girls and women worldwide.The keystone of the campaign is www.everymothercounts.org, an interactive platform providing the tools to raise awareness, education and action.”
