Comedian Ralphie May, winner of NBC’s Last Comic Standing and former cast member on VH1‘s Celebrity Fit Club, was detained at the international airport in Guam after he was suspected for having a bag of marijuana in his luggage.
A customs agency dog named Nickey, sniffed the marijuana out, which ended up weighing less than an ounce.
Because the amount was so small, May had to go to court and only pay a fine of up to $100.
“If it was more than an ounce it’s handled differently,” Santo Tomas, a customs agen, said. “But for this particular thing he was to show up and pay a fine.”
May’s promoter, James Castro, who brought him to Guan to perform, said that May expressed regrets and he looks forward to returning to Guam. “He plans on coming back with his family and will not be doing that again,” Castro said.
Ha! We hope not!
