Well! He does show up three times, LOL!
Okay so maybe our bubble burst when we found out Johnny Depp didn’t officiate this wedding, but the story is still filled with plenty of pixie dust!
It’s recently come out that Tory and Nikki Elegante successfully wed inside Disneyland‘s iconic Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.
After surprising her with a Lake Tahoe proposal in July, the Utah man presented two packets of wedding plans to his bride-to-be (dammmn, doin’ all the work — he’s a keeper)!
And then, on September 19, Tory and family were at the Happiest Place on Earth, asking a Pirates operator for a boat that would only be filled with their friends and family.
Still a secret to Disney, the operator obliged and two and half minutes later, the wedding was happening! Right after the second drop, Tory’s friend began performing the ceremony. Tory says of the experience:
“It kind of quiets down there in the cave a little bit and he gave a two minute ceremony and we exchanged rings on the boat. By the time we were to the big cannon ship battle, we were already married.”
OMG!! We’re tearing so much our nose is burning!!
But wait — it gets cuter!! He was wearing a tuxedo shirt and she was wearing a Minnie tee!!
This was something Tory had always dreamed of, as he continues on to say:
“Just getting to do that was like a dream come true, and I got to marry this beautiful, beautiful woman and now we get to have this life together forever and ever and we got to get married in Disneyland. There├óΓé¼Γäós no way I can describe any more perfection than that.”
We’re not even done!
Walt would be happy to know that Tory’s children are named Ariel, Belle, and Orlando — only signifying his Disneyphilia even more.
Nikki’s own son now tells everyone they’re a family of pirates thanks to the ceremony, and we think it’s safe to say…
…they’ll live happily ever after!! 😉
