Oh no!

Dog the Bounty Hunter has spent the last few months grieving over the untimely death of his late wife, Beth Chapman, following her battle with cancer. Now, on top of that, the reality star is apparently dealing with health problems of his own — and it sounds pretty serious.

According to TMZ, the Dog’s Most Wanted star was hospitalized over the weekend after suffering a “heart emergency.”

Sources told the outlet Dog (real name Duane Chapman) was taken to the hospital from his Colorado home after feeling a pain in his chest. He survived the alleged emergency, and doctors are now trying to figure out if he’ll need corrective surgery.

This health scare comes on the heels of a stressful past few months for Dog. As we reported, he’s gearing up to promote the premiere of his new WGN America show, which features Beth’s cancer battle as a storyline in the upcoming season

The famed bounty hunter has also been dealing with crippling loneliness in the months since he lost his wife, who was just 51 years old when she passed in June. Dog recently explained to Entertainment Tonight:

“It’s really hard alone, because as soon as you get alone, bam, it hits you. So, I try not to be alone.”

In addition to loneliness, the tragic passing has caused Dog to lose a significant amount of weight.

Back in July, the father-of-twelve told ET he lost “17 pounds in two weeks,” explaining:

“I can’t eat. Two bites, I’m full. I got to force feed myself like I force fed [Beth].”

The 66-year-old also explained how Beth’s absence was making it hard for him to sleep, admitting:

“I wake up to always touch her, especially when she was sick. I’d have to wake up a few times when she stopped breathing. I couldn’t hear it no more. And she’s laying and I’m like, ‘You are not dying like that. I will not let you die.’ So I’m so used to that that I don’t sleep solid anymore… I haven’t gotten past the place where I’m [not] putting a pillow where she was and covering it up. And then I wake up in the middle of the night and I see her and it doesn’t register that [it] ain’t her.”

So incredibly heartbreaking.

Clearly, Beth’s death has taken a huge toll on Dog’s health. We hope he gets the help — medical and/or otherwise — he needs.
