Wait, MORE controversy for Donald Trump‘s campaign?!
In the middle of a really, really bad stretch the last few weeks, news is breaking Friday morning that Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort has resigned!!

The news comes just two days after Trump hired extremely controversial Breitbart News leader Stephen Bannon to be his campaign CEO, and there’s no question Manafort was pushed aside in a power struggle.
Ironically, it was just two months ago that Manafort himself won a power struggle over then-campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, who was fired on June 20 amid allegations of physically restraining a Breitbart News reporter during a press event.
Now, Manafort is gone, too, and the Trump campaign released a statement reflecting that this morning:
“This morning Paul Manafort offered, and I accepted, his resignation from the campaign. I am very appreciative for his great work in helping to get us where we are today, and in particular his work guiding us through the delegate and convention process. Paul is a true professional and I wish him the greatest success.”
How kind of you, Donald! LOLz!!
It wasn’t just Bannon — and new campaign manager Kellyanne Conway — that were making Manafort’s life difficult, though.
Over this last weekend, the New York Times reported on handwritten ledgers that revealed $12.7 million in secret cash payments from ex-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych‘s pro-Russia political party to Manafort between 2007 and 2012.

In several instances recently, The Donald himself has been bizarrely pro-Russia during what’s been a wild and unpredictable general election campaign.
Worse yet, Trump has been accused several times recently of being pro-Vladimir Putin, so the Ukrainian ties are concerning here.
But alas, no more Manafort, and the Trump campaign gets through another wild, controversial week.
