Fire Crew Uses CPR On Cutie Koala To Save Its Life!

koala cpr life saved
Fire crews at Langwarrin in Melbourne, Australia got to save a tiny life recently.
Here’s the story:
A koala was hit by a car and took refuge in a tree.
When they went to rescue the little critter… it fell out of the perch! Luckily, they caught it in a blanket! But they weren’t out of the woods just yet.
The koala, nicknamed Sir Chompsalot, needed reviving so they started performing CPR!
Langwarrin fire brigade captain Sean Curtin said:

“Wildlife Victoria actually performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on the koala and one of the other members was actually pumping the koala’s chest to get some movement in the heart and also get some air into the lungs at the same time. We put it on O2 oxygen therapy to assist in getting some oxygen into the blood flow of the koala. One of the members… had performed CPR on a dog previously.”

Wow! That’s perfect!
So glad one of them had animal CPR experience and was able to save the cutie koala!
