Fashion drama realness.
Giorgio Armani was one of the notable Italian designers to show at Milan Fashion Week. But his show fell on the very last day, which was yesterday!
Instead of patiently waiting to see his runway, however, Anna Wintour decided she was done with Milan and ready to move onto Paris. So she totally skipped out on his presentation!!
Mr. Armani was understandably offended by the apparent snub, ESPECIALLY because his brand is a huge advertiser in Vogue magazine. And he decided to voice his very strong feelings on the matter!
After the show, Giorgio totally bashed on Anna’s manners, saying:
├óΓé¼┼ôShe took an airplane, dumped [me] and went to Paris├óΓé¼┬ªIt’s not professional. She is influential and powerful. But, perhaps, I├óΓé¼Γäóm influential as well. She said she was sending her people. But if you go to see your dentist and he puts you in the hands of his assistant, what├óΓé¼Γäós your reaction?”
Yikes!!
No one likes to be dumped, and no one feels comfortable with the dentist’s assistant!
Anna’s camp has since responded, but not with an apology — instead, they simply called the timing unfortunate, saying:
“Anna has the greatest respect for Giorgio Armani and everything he has done for Italy and fashion worldwide. Unfortunately, with the fashion calendar now running for more than a month, there are some shows that Anna is not able to attend.”
Hmm, think Giorgio was happy with that response?
We’re guessing no!!
Wonder if this will effect Armani’s future advertising with the mag??
Hoping it isn’t the end of a long and fashionable relationship!
