Gwyneth Paltrow's Favorite Restaurants

Gwyneth Paltrow has transformed herself into a tastemaker when it comes to all things food, which is why we are super intrigued about this restaurant list.

Hop on a plane and enjoy some fine dining! (list compiled by Food & Wine)

Elio’s, New York City
“Gwyneth has been coming to this Upper East Side Italian spot for years; the waiters don’st even give her a menu. The restaurant’s fried zucchini was the inspiration for her Fried-Zucchini Spaghetti.”

Babbo, New York City
“Set in an old Greenwich Village carriage house, Babbo is the restaurant that launched Mario Batali’s career. Gwyneth suggests getting small plates and a glass of wine at the bar if you can’t get a reservation.”

City House, Nashville
“This Nashville restaurant is known for its ingenious Italian-Southern hybrid dishes, like white bean soup with pecorino and corn-bread crumbs. Gwyneth suggests stopping by the bar to grab a drink from the stellar bartenders.”

Tartine Bakery, San Francisco
“Chad Robertson’s famous mission bakery attracts large crowds for its amazing array of baked goods: feathery croissants, fine-crumbed scones and crisp-crusted loaves. Gwyneth took inspiration from Robertson’s cookbook Tartine Bread to make her own bread with natural leaven.”

Gjelina, Los Angeles
“This Venice Beach pizzeria has tons of buzz for its thin-crusted pizzas. (Gwyneth’s favorite pie is the jalape├â┬▒o and smoked mozzarella.) But the vegetables, like wood-roasted cauliflower with garlic, vinegar and chile, are also excellent.”

Chisou, London
“Gwyneth loves the simplicity of this elegant Japanese restaurant, but she steers away from the excellent sushi; instead, she goes for the light noodle soups and salads.”

Tapas Brindisa, London
“Brindisa started as a Spanish food importer, which is how they get the amazing ingredients for their tapas bar at the Borough Market. Gwyneth says it’s one of the best meals in town right now.”

Tapaç24, Barcelona
“Comer├â┬º 24’s Carles Abellan recently opened Tapa├â┬º24 that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Gwyneth spent time in Spain as a teenager and loves his take on traditional Spanish dishes like patatas bravas and croquetas with Ib├â┬⌐rico ham.”

Dar Marjana, Marrakech
“This restaurant is set in a riad├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥a traditional Moroccan home├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥around a beautiful green-and-white-tiled central courtyard. Gwyneth’s emphatic recommendation: the pigeon pie.”

Mariage Frères Teahouse, Paris
“When visiting Paris, Gwyneth comes here for its light lunch menu, with tea-inspired dishes like salmon with green matcha. She also loves its afternoon tea and stocking up on its candles; the Darjeeling-scented candle is a favorite.”
