The vicious abuse cycle between Hailey Bieber and her husband’s fans continues.
Over the weekend, Justin Bieber’s wife took to social media to lament about how she can’t do anything these days without being roasted by social media users, raising the question: will she ever be accepted by the ever-protective Beliebers?
The 22-year-old’s most recent address came on Sunday, when she clapped back at fans who took issue with how tan she was getting on her tropical getaway.

For those who don’t know, the Biebers are currently vacationing in the Bahamas at the same location where they got engaged. Naturally, the low key trip included lots of fun in the sun, but apparently some followers thought that Hailey had gotten too much of it.
In response, the model took to her Instagram Stories on Sunday night to shade her critics with a sunkissed selfie, in which she wrote:
“So today the internet is mad at me for getting too tan!!! Shoot!!! I’ll do my best not to get so much sun next time I’m on vacation!”
Based on her smirk in the picture (below), it’s safe to assume Hailey was being sarcastic and would NOT be rationing her tanning anytime soon:

The selfie shade came a day after the model issued another message about the purported cruelty she’s been facing from fans as of late.
In a string of tweets on Saturday, Mrs. Bieber said she wished that people didn’t have to be so “cruel” to her on the social platform, adding that she wished these haters “knew [her] heart.” She wrote:
The tweets came days after the couple attempted to set the record straight on rumors that the pop star had walked out on Hailey while she was pregnant: two ridiculously false claims that were erroneously reported by The Daily Telegraph.
As we reported, Justin and Hailey blasted the article in a video shared on his IG Stories last week — but they accidentally sparked another controversy when fans noticed that the singer’s search history included a video of his ex Selena Gomez performing at Coachella.
The speculation caused Biebs to set the record straight about what really happened. He later told fans in a series of comments:
“The video of selena singing taki taki came up about my wife and i watched my coachella performance. Obviously shes gonna be in the related [category], it [literally] was the next video that played…. To fans and people who think im maliciously trying to start sh*t grow up. People have their own [fantasies] about how they think my life should go and make up all of these theories and use their imagination too much … this ends here will never re-engage with this but had to set the record straight once and for all. We are adults [we’re] not playing games. There always gonna be something.”
While Hailey’s recent tweets didn’t directly mention the incident, they’re likely a response to the undying Jelena shipping that’s she’s been suffering over the course of her relationship with the Purpose performer.
Just last month, Justin blasted a commenter who said he wasn’t “in love” with Hailey and was only using her “to get back at” his famous ex. He wrote:
“Ur immature the fact that you have an account dedicated to dissing my wife and I is absolutely absurd… Why would I dedicate my whole life to someone in marriage to get back [at an ex-girlfriend?]”
Thankfully, Hailey does have a few supporters in her corner — namely, her husband’s mom, Pattie Mallette. Momma Bieber responded to her daughter-in-law’s tweets on Sunday, writing:
Awwww!
Hailey still may be having a tough time winning over Justin’s fans, but at least she’s been accepted by his family.
That’s what matters most… right?
