Apparently these television producers did NOT show the whole picture!
Honey Boo Boo and Mama June recently stopped to talk to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, but things were not all that they seemed to be!
According to writer Christy O’Shoney, who wrote a piece on the eerie scene she witnessed, the interview between Honey Boo Boo aka Alana Thompson, Mama June, and Jimmy Fallon was quite nerve-wracking.
Apparently Mama June had to either tell her daughter what to say on several occasions, or just spoke for her altogether.
She even describes one part where Honey Boo Boo hit her own mother, and that is when Jimmy Fallon, who had toed the line before, put his foot down!
Here’s what she wrote:
“But the most notable moment to be left out of Honey Boo Boo├óΓé¼Γäós appearance on ├óΓé¼┼ôThe Tonight Show├óΓé¼┬¥ was when she became so fed up that she actually struck Mama June. Up until this point, Fallon had been doing a great job of navigating Alana├óΓé¼Γäós weird behavior, but it was at this moment when he became positively awesome. ├óΓé¼┼ôNEVER hit your mother!├óΓé¼┬¥ he exclaimed, in a voice that was serious with just a hint of a joke, and the studio audience erupted in applause.”
The writer of the piece also called Honey Boo Boo a “monster” but believes that there is a reason why Alana Thompson may be acting the way she is. She writes:
“But for the record, what aired on NBC was only part of the madness that went down last Wednesday at ├óΓé¼┼ôThe Tonight Show.├óΓé¼┬¥ I know this because I was there, and from where I was sitting, Honey Boo Boo ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ let├óΓé¼Γäós not mince words ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ was a tiny, dimpled monster… The truth is, she├óΓé¼Γäós growing up, about to enter puberty, one of the most confusing periods of human existence. She is not the spunky little cherub running around in pink dresses anymore, or at least she shouldn├óΓé¼Γäót be.”
We definitely agree that the version of this young girl presented on her reality show is most likely a lot different from how she really is.
Hopefully Honey Boo Boo will take Jimmy’s advice, and won’t hit her mother anymore or anyone else for that matter.
Maybe she needs a mentor that isn’t connected to her reality show or her family because at this point it seems like they may not be in the best position to act in an authoritative manner with this little one — and a little discipline is what she may truly need at this point.
We wonder if Jimmy Fallon is up for the job? It seems like he’d be a great fit!
