Hunger Games Director Gary Ross Might Not Direct Sequel

Hunger Games has tallied over $363 million at the box office.
The top stars such as Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson are all signed for the sequel.
Seems like a no brainer to bring back the original director for this monster hit, no?
Wrong.
Sources say the director, Gary Ross, is seeking a significant bonus over the $3 million salary he had for Hunger Games, but Lionsgate has taken a hard like stance in the negotiation process.
Lionsgate is not used to paying big money for seasoned directors and Ross previously did Seabiscuit and Pleasantville.
Lionsgate has mentioned previous films such as Twlight and Harry Potter who did not use their original directors for the whole series, but we personally don’t think they should risk breaking up a good thing.
We’ll see what happens.
Do U think Hunger Games would be just as good if not better without the original director?
