Even though Renee Zellweger‘s Bridget Jones’s Baby BOMBED at the American box office, it looks like it could have been a lot worse — but maybe more entertaining — if they cast James Corden!
According to Wednesday night’s sketch, The Late Late Show host auditioned for what turned out to be Patrick Dempsey‘s part — and boy does the funnyman love to dress up!

Zellweger sat and watched the late night host as he started to channel his inner Hugh Grant before dressing up as ALL KINDS of British characters from Harry Potter to Austin Powers!
Luckily, Dempsey comes in and saves the day at the end!
