This could be huge.
Following the #MeToo movement of women to come forward with sexual assault allegations, we’ve been waiting for some actual (legal) justice to be served to the men who have been abusing their power in disgusting ways for decades.
Now this power lies with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office as prosecutors decide whether to press charges against the likes of James Toback (pictured left) and Harvey Weinstein (pictured right).

For the Bugsy screenwriter, there are five cases (out of many) — two cases from the Los Angeles Police Department and three submitted by Beverly Hills police — that are being reviewed by a task force established to handle any criminal complaints arising from the Hollywood scandal.
For Weinstein, two cases resulting from BHPD investigations have been handed over to the D.A. to see if there’s enough evidence to press charges against the disgraced producer. Which women’s stories are being pursued has not been released.
No previous criminal investigations have gotten this far — so we’re hoping something can be done legally to punish these abusers. We’ll keep you updated.
