No, Jamie Foxx‘s name is not actually Jamie Foxx.
The Oscar winner, whose stage name was inspired by comedy legend Redd Foxx, was born Eric Marlon Bishop, which if you ask us is a pretty cool name also.

But apparently the Sleepless star’s fans didn’t know that little bit of Foxx trivia.
It all started on Monday when one Twitter user shared her mindblowing discovery:
