OK, if Jana Kramer doesn’t write a country song called The Law’s The Law about a woman laying it down for her cheating husband, she is leaving money on the damn table.
The One Tree Hill alum got super real on this week’s episode of her podcast, Whine Down, with hubby Mike Caussin.
Both weighed in together on the college admissions scandal which rocked the country last month, specifically the celebrity aspect of it.

Fifty people were indicted for their alleged roles in a widespread network of bribery and cheating to get teens into colleges, all under the guise of a charity for “underprivileged” youth.
But as well-known TV stars, Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman quickly became the faces of the scandal.
In Jana’s opinion, the actresses — beloved or not — should face the same consequences as anyone would. She said:
“People go to jail for that, so you should.”
Caussin agreed:
“If it comes down to that, it’s like, ‘Hey, the law’s the law.'”
But Jana did NOT think there should be any distinction between what happens to the celebs going the other way either! She cautioned:
“What I don’t agree with is making a, ‘Well, they’re a celebrity so we have to prove a point.’ I don’t like that.”
Is that what’s happening?
Near as we can tell, the government charging the parents only with fraud (to start) was fairly merciful — and consistent across the board. The only difference between what different parents were facing, prison-wise, seemed to come from how much money they spent on these bribes.
Just like there’s a difference in jail time for stealing a candy bar and stealing a car, there are statutes which must be followed.
Any extra punishment for Aunt Becky is only coming her way due to her own choices. She rejected the plea deal Huffman and many others took; only then did prosecutors tack on a charge of conspiracy to commit money laundering — another crime spelled out clearly in the indictment.
So it seems to us there’s no special treatment for celebs going on — yet. This thing may well go to trial, which could change everything.

Jana next tackled a hot topic much closer to home: Mike’s cheating scandal.
Back in 2016, the couple came close to calling it quits for good after Mike cheated on the country singer with multiple women.
The former NFL player spoke openly about his sex addiction on their podcast last month, and it seems the pair have put this all behind them.
Well, that’s not exactly true — let’s just say the cheating may be in the rear view, but Jana still has her eyes on the road.
She spoke on the podcast about being faced with the task of hiring a nanny for their two young children, and how the applicants online are sending the wrong message:
“I just don’t understand some of these girls that post pictures on Care.com because I’m like, ‘Don’t you know the female is hiring?’ I’m laughing at some of these pictures!”
She elaborated:
“This one photo was like, ‘Hi, I’m 22 years old and I have perky boobs.’ Like, don’t post the perky boob photo. You’re not gonna be hired. I’m not hiring you.”
She advised nannies looking for work to consider it might be a wife hiring them and to “dress the part.”
More Nanny McPhee, less Mary Poppins. Got it. Ha!
However, Jana wanted to make clear her husband’s sex addiction and past infidelity was not informing the process. She explained:
“Not that I don’t trust my husband… I just think it’s not smart. I mean, you look at some of these nannies, and I’m like, ‘Well, you kinda asked for it, she’s kinda hot.’ You know what I mean? You’re in close quarters.”
Well, we certainly know what you mean — but there’s definitely a difference in level of worry about all that when your man has strayed before.
We’re just saying, if you already know the dog is a biter, it’s gonna change how you pet him.
