No, no, we don’t mean ABC Family‘s Mean Girls 2 starring Meaghan Martin!
We mean Jennifer Aniston is in talks to join the cast of Mean Moms!
But before you go busting out your army pants and flip flops, the movie is only a “spiritual sequel” to our beloved 2004 mega hit Mean Girls — though for a more direct fix, stay tuned for the musical adaptation to hit Broadway.
So while it won’t follow the storylines of Cady, Regina, Damien, Janice, Gretchen, or Karen, it is based on Rosalind Wiseman‘s advice book, Queen Bee Moms and King Pin Dads: Dealing with the Parents, Teachers, Coaches, and Counselors Who Can Make – or Break – Your Child’s Future.
And if you’re thinking that name sounds familiar, she’s the same woman who wrote the original novel that inspired the Tina Fey-penned masterpiece!

Except this time, the story will follow a mother who moves with her husband and two children from a small town to a high-class suburb and is thrown into the world of cutthroat parenting.
The Mean Girls vibe is coming in strong!
We won’t know if Jen’s proposed character would be a Plastic or an Art Freak, but if she takes the role, she would be reunited with her director from Horrible Bosses 2, Sean Anders.
There aren’t enough details yet to tell if this will be a fetch flick or a film flop, but we do know one thing: Jennifer Aniston, we love your work!
