We’re not 100% sure what the status is on John Mellencamp and Meg Ryan’s engagement, but whenever they’re ready to tie the knot they can do so, because John is now a free man!
John and his ex Elaine Irwin filed for divorce back in January, but his freedom just became official on Friday.
The ex-couple plan to share joint legal custody of their boys, but Elaine will take primary physical custody.
John has agreed to pay child support and schooling, and he plans to stay in Indiana so he can help raise his children with his ex-wife.
Should be inneresting to see how long it takes before John and Meg get hitched! We HAD heard that they were going to tie the knot in July, but obviously that never happened.
Future wedding speculation aside, we’re just glad that it sounds like John and his ex have the best interest of their children in mind. That’s what’s most important!
